Gyrocom and Palo Alto Networks will be hosting 'The Data Centre Ultimate Test Drive Featuring VMware NSX' a hands-on workshop for security professionals on Tuesday 16th June at Palo Alto's London offices.
This event will be particularly useful for anyone interested in test driving next-generation security services in a software-defined data centre (SDDC).
The SDDC is transforming data centre security. VMware and Palo Alto Networks have partnered to deliver a solution that allows you to deploy advanced security services at the same pace as virtual machines without comprising the level of protection needed. At this event attendees can learn what it means to implement network segmentation and simplify security operations in a next-generation data centre.
The advantages of a SDDC- using network virtualisation as a core underpinning- include service delivery speed, operational efficiency, reduced hardware dependency and lower cost. However, by far the most popular use case for customers thus far has been the use of NSX for network micro-segmentation. Perimeter-centric network security has proven insufficient, and until now micro-segmentation has been operationally and economically infeasible.
With Palo Alto's next-generation firewalls and VMware NSX, security teams, in partnership with their network and virtualization teams, are benefiting from network micro-segmentation and are transforming their data centre security architecture.
This informal technical event runs from 10.00am to 2.30pm, is free to attend and includes lunch. To register please visit http://info.gyrocom.co.uk/pan-nsx-hands-on-workshop
